SAUCE WAS A GREAT LITTLE UNDERGROUND HOUSE MUSIC CLUB NIGHT IN THE MIDLANDS BACK IN THE LATE 90'S.
I HAD THE HONOUR OF BEING ONE OF THE RESIDENT DJ'S.
SOME GREAT NIGHTS WERE HAD, AND SOME CRAZY AFTER CLUB PARTIES.
[RICH'S JACKET ON FIRE WAS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS!.
THIS MIX WAS RECORDED SPRING 2010 AND IS IN THE SPIRIT OF SAUCE.
IT FEATURES MUSIC FROM BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THE SAUCE ERA, BUT ALL TRACKS [IN MY OPINION] HAVE THE SAUCE VIBE, WELL, WHEN I WAS DJ'ING ANYWAY!
BIG LOVE TO ALL THE OLD SAUCERS! STEVE G

The last mix I recorded, back in 2003, one hour of deep / dubby / tech house with a hint of disco.

Warts and all, no editing, direct to laptop recording from 2 decks and a mixer.

Dedicated to those who attended 'Splosh!' 'Freak Da Funk' and 'Sauce' parties and a special dedication to Jon 'Flid' Priddey.

Spread the word, keep the faith.

This one was recorded in Oct 1999.

A mix of deep, dubby, techy house.

The first tune is one of my own from the bass.funk studio - it's called 'Circulation' it's actually 'semi-live' - I ran the sequencer for drums, bass, etc and the keyboards were played by me whilst twiddling the studio knobs and then just continuing the mix on the decks.

Big Love.

p.s. the 2 headed cow is taken from a flyer for a free party we did in a field deep in the Bedfordshire countryside - the cow picture was 'sampled' from Echo and the Bunnymen's early 80's Korova Records logo!

Mix of Twisted House / Acid Shenannigans / Tweakin' Breaks.

Taken from a C-90 Cassette tape [remember those?] so it fades out and in half-way through.

I make no apologies for starting the tape with a bit of B.E.F. [Heaven 17's more experimental project] from 1980].

Includes the brilliant DJ Pierre remix of Way Out West's 'Ajarre' and DJ Duke's remix of Freak Power's 'Tune In, Turn On.....' both pure Wild Pitch outings.

Also, on side one is DIY´s ´"Bounce" - a great bumping and, ahem, bouncing tune.

The picture, is a flyer for a Splosh! party at the Que Club in Birmingham.
